“I THE LORD, DO NOT CHANGE.” (Malachi 3:6a)

Hello! How is everyone? Doing well I hope. It seems like the world we live in is constantly changing-and not always for the better. Laws have changed, manners have changed, morals have changed-thus society as we know it has fundamentally changed. But the Lord has not; nor will He ever change.
All of this makes me think (because I do that quite a bit) about God and His ways. For those of us who have a relationship with God, one attribute God has is His constancy-His unchanging core purpose. This means that God remains streadfast, faithful and unchanging when our circumstances become difficult. As Believers, we cling to God through these changes because we know God will sustain us so that we know we are not alone.
God has given His children a multitude of promises-which unfold through our prayers for Hope, Purpose, Strength, Peace, Faithfulness and Pr0vision and His unfailing love-just to name a few. God has given me strength when I went through difficult times and various trials; even when I had no strength of my own-He carried me in His. God has seen my needs and answered my prayer for provision. When I was a younger Believer, I had car accident and my car was beyond repair and had to be junked. A neighbor offered to sell me a vehicle with a stick shift (which I didn’t know how to drive) for over $1,000.00. My Pastor asked the congragation if anyone was selling a car to let me know. A couple in the church (who were soon to be married), were going to sell the Bride’s car and use the money towards their wedding. The next week when I went back to church, the couple approached me and said they prayed and felt led by God to gift me the car- an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme! God saw my need, heard my prayer and provided a car through His people. What a Mighty God I Serve!
Jesus, the same yesterday: This is foundational. While Jesus lived on this earth, He healed people, showed grace to all and most importantly, He rose from the dead. This also proves his unchanging character. His love and mercy did not change or end even after He resurrected. When I was a younger believer, there was so many times when life just happened and decisions had to be made which filled me with fear, but Jesus always met me in my circumstances. Knowing He was there for me gave me peace and calmed my fears. “Casting all your cares {all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all} on Him, for He cares about y0u {with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully}. (1 Peter 5:7 Amplified)
Jesus Today-He is here… right now…-in the presence of all of humanity. To believers, He offers grace, strength, and help. Knowing Jesus is always here provides stability and security. He is present and available for those who cry out to him for salvation and redemption. All one has to say is “Jesus Help Me! Jesus Save Me!” and He is right there to answer and receive you. “Jesus said “I am with you always, even to the end of this age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Jesus Forever-He keeps His promises and can never break his word-which means that His nature, character, love, and truth remain just as constant across time. Additionally, Jesus does not change with time-He remains the same in all that He is. Society may change, but Jesus does not. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”. (Hebrews 13:8)
